Thomas Warnicke
OUR MISSION AND VISION
Thomas R. Warnicke has been representing victims against big business, insurance companies and government for more than 25 years. He has handled cases in state and federal courts in most Michigan jurisdictions and in courtrooms throughout the United States, winning millions of dollars in jury verdicts and case settlements.
Thomas grew up in West Bloomfield, Michigan and earned his undergraduate degree in 1989 from James Madison Honors College at Michigan State University. During college, he received athletic honors in tennis and studied abroad at Cambridge University, England. After a brief and humbling stint as a professional tennis player, he received his Juris Doctor with honors cum laude from Detroit College of Law (now Michigan State University) in 1992.
During law school, Thomas received honors at the Niagara Moot Court Competition (1991) and the Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition (1992). Thomas also completed an international business law program with the Canadian Justice Department, in Ottawa, Canada, where he successfully co-chaired a month-long trial involving the prosecution of private businesses that violated the U.S.-Canada Free Trade Agreement. Thomas also worked during law school at a business and employment litigation firm in Birmingham, Michigan. He also served as a judicial intern to United Sates District Court Judges Horace W. Gilmore (1990) and Bernard A. Friedman from (1991-92).
Upon graduation in 1992, Thomas immediately launched his law firm. Over the next 18 years, the Warnicke Law Firm evolved into an international, multi-attorney plaintiff’s law firm specializing in high stakes employment and business litigation, sexual harassment, commission disputes, civil rights, police misconduct, and personal injury. Warnicke Law obtained millions of dollars in verdicts and settlements as lead counsel throughout the U.S., including in Arkansas, California, Georgia, Indiana, Illinois, Massachusetts, Ohio, Utah, Wisconsin, as well as handling legal matters in Canada, China, England, Japan, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and South Korea. After successfully engaging as co-counsel with the Fieger Law Firm on various cases, and handling other legal matters at the Firm’s request, Thomas accepted an invitation to join the Fieger Firm in 2010.
Thomas worked at the Fieger Firm for 2 ½ years, where he litigated many high-profile cases. In 2012, Thomas decided to reopen the Warnicke Law Firm. He has continued his professional relationship with the Fieger Firm by handling many matters referred to him from the Firm.
Thomas has been recognized by numerous legal organizations and publications across the United States for his contributions and achievements, including being named one of the top employment attorneys in the United States.
